Week 7
Primitive Fishing Technologies
on the Verde River

As the cooler weather moves in, we will head down to a beautiful river in the desert to practice a variety of primitive fishing technologies such as making fish spears, basket traps, lures, and weaving nets. We will also cook fish in clay and on planks along with harvesting edible wild plants that grow along the riverbanks and other riparian delights. Several prehistoric ruins in the region make this a unique place for exploring.

Get an indepth look into the Verde River including the desert terrain surrounding the area.
