Week 3
Primitive Walkabout
Mountain Skills Component

During week three we hit the trail to apply your newfound skills in the mountains near Flagstaff, Arizona.

This walkabout trek brings together all the survival skills practiced up to this point and introduces more along the trail.

Carrying a minimum of modern gear (wool blankets, simple trailfoods, knife, canteen, and cooking pot), we will delve into and apply the ultralight travel skills needed to live comfortably in a forest region while foraging, fishing, navigating, locating water, and making shelters each day.

This is a five-day trip followed by a long weekend off before we begin the next section.
