Course Information/Policies
We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting bushcraft
instructor David Cronenwett of the
Wilderness Arts Institute for this hands-on intensive in
traditional toolmaking and usage.
The first day and a half of
this course will be spent making a crooked knife (mocotaugan),
hook knife and possibly more. Basic metalworking, green wood
carving and leather work will be covered.
 From here, we will put
them immediately to use carving traditional Scandinavian "Kuksas"
(coffee cups), bowls, spoons and other creations. If time and
energy permit, students will make simple Kolrosing tools to add
beautiful patterns on their finished pieces.

This is the course for you!
Held at our outfitted basecamp in Flagstaff in a heated hogan.
Course runs from 8 am to 5 pm each day. Participants need to
provide their own lodging and meals.
